Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be met by Amet Asventures’ Staff and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi.
Check in at Ibis Hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Take time to relax after your journey and prepare for the safari adventure ahead.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive towards Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the spectacular Great Rift Valley.
Upon arrival, proceed directly on a game drive after completing the park entry formalities. Lake Nakuru is known for its rich wildlife and is an important sanctuary for Black and White Rhinos.
The park is also home to Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, waterbucks, impalas, warthogs and a wide variety of birdlife.
Lake Nakuru is particularly famous for its flamingos, which, when conditions are favourable, can gather along the shoreline in impressive numbers.
Continue with your game drive before arriving at the lodge for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge or enjoy an additional afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before departing for the Maasai Mara.
Continue through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, travelling via Mai-Mahiu and Narok before heading towards the Maasai Mara.
Arrive in the Mara in time for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive.
The Maasai Mara is one of Kenya’s premier wildlife destinations, famous for its exceptional concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, keep an eye out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.
Continue exploring the reserve as the afternoon progresses before returning to camp around sunset.

Day 4: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari
Rise early for a morning game drive in the Maasai Mara, when wildlife is often particularly active.
Return to camp for breakfast before heading out again for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch.
Spend the day exploring the Mara’s spectacular grasslands in search of its famous predators and their prey. Wildlife encounters may include lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.
Continue towards the Mara River, where you may see hippos and large Nile crocodiles. During the Great Migration season, the river can also become one of the most dramatic locations for witnessing wildebeest and zebra crossings.
In the late afternoon, you may choose to visit a Maasai village and school for an additional cultural experience. This visit is optional and payable directly.
Return to Oldarpoi Camp in the evening and enjoy some time relaxing at the camp.

Day 5: Maasai Mara – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and begin your journey towards Lake Naivasha, travelling through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.
On arrival, check in at Great Rift Valley Lodge and enjoy lunch.
Lake Naivasha is the highest of the Rift Valley lakes and is known for its freshwater ecosystem, birdlife and resident hippos.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy an optional boat cruise on Lake Naivasha, offering the opportunity to see hippos and a variety of waterbirds. With some luck, you may also spot the impressive African fish eagle.
Another optional experience is a visit to Crescent Island, where you can enjoy a guided walking safari among wildlife including giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.
Boat cruises and Crescent Island visits are optional and payable directly.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi – JKIA Departure
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and begin your journey back to Nairobi.
Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with an opportunity to appreciate the dramatic landscapes along the way.
Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you will have lunch at a local restaurant before your scheduled transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your evening departure flight.
