Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi.

Check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. This gives you time to relax and prepare for your Kenya safari adventure.

Meal Plan: Half Board

Day 2: Nairobi - Masai Mara Reserve

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel at approximately 8:30 AM and begin your journey to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The drive takes approximately four and a half hours, taking you through the changing landscapes of the Kenyan countryside and the spectacular Great Rift Valley.

Arrive in the Maasai Mara in time for lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive.

The Maasai Mara is one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations and offers excellent opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many other species.

As the afternoon progresses, continue exploring the reserve before returning to camp as the sun sets.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the magnificent Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Your game drive takes you across the Mara’s expansive grasslands in search of the reserve’s famous predators, including lions, cheetahs and leopards. You will also have the opportunity to encounter elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, topi, hartebeest, eland and other plains game.

Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the Mara, with the Mara River providing a spectacular setting.

During the annual Great Migration, the Mara plains can become particularly dramatic as vast herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move through the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing.

Continue your game drive into the afternoon before returning to your camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Maasai Cultural Experience – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to a traditional Maasai Boma for an authentic cultural experience.

Meet members of the Maasai community, learn about their traditional way of life and experience cultural performances and traditional dances. The visit offers an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of one of Kenya’s most recognisable cultural communities.

After the cultural experience, depart the Maasai Mara and drive towards Lake Nakuru National Park, travelling through the scenic Great Rift Valley.

Lake Nakuru is famous for its diverse wildlife and is an important sanctuary for Black and White Rhinos. The park is also home to Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, waterbucks, impalas, warthogs and numerous bird species.

Arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi – JKIA Departure

After breakfast at the lodge, begin your journey back to Nairobi.

Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley before continuing towards Kenya’s capital.

Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and proceed to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your scheduled departure flight.
